Amador County

• Silver Medal: 2013 San Francisco Int'l Competition

• Silver Medal: 2013 Orange County Wine Competition

Knowing that winemakers agree on almost nothing, we have found it interesting over the years how often, when given a choice of wines, they reach for the Barbera. Originally from the northwest regions of Italy, Barbera has found new home in Amador County.

2008 SAUSALITO WINES Zinfandel Amador County

Beautiful inside and out, our 2008 Sausalito Wines Zinfandel is luscious, loaded & loveable; toasty oak supports layers of jammy fruit.

The aromas are of black cherry, toast, oak, blueberry and yeast; the palate is silky-smooth, with just a hint of tannin.

Flavors of cherries and ripe red fruit with accent hints of chocolate, black pepper and a suggestion of pumpkin pie spice.

2011 SAUSALITO WINES Zinfandel
Amador County

Sausalito Artist George Sumner has once again provided us an original artwork, "Wet and Wild," commemorating over 150-years of sail-racing on San Francisco Bay.

Wine, art and science have been closely associated for many years for good reason; there's more than a little scientific magic in both art and winemaking.

Through his talent, vision and experience, George transforms canvas into art. With a similar reliance on experience, talent, science and a little magic, Winemaker Mark McKenna, artfully transforms grapes into wine.

Silver Medals: Orange County Fair, San Francisco Int'l Wine Competition and Amador County Fair
LANG WINESA multiple medal winner for the 4th year in a row! Our 2008 Amador County Zinfandel from Oakmont Vineyards continues a tradition of excellence.

On a strikingly beautiful hilltop above the Cosumnes River, winegrower Vicki Delpart personally tends her 36-year old vines and consistently provides outstanding fruit.

Winemaker Mark McKenna eagerly looks forward to receiving Vicki's grapes; our wines from her vineyard‚ granite-based Sierra soils are always luscious, fruit-filled, balanced and full bodied.
An additional two years of bottle-age at the winery has permitted its flavor components to harmonize together and increase the attractiveness of this wine.
